/Janet King

Produced by Screentime, for distribution via the ABC Network and DCD Rights, Janet King is a television crime-drama series, starring the AACTA award winning Marta Dusseldorp.
During the 16 one-hour-long episodes, Senior Prosecutor Janet king returns from maternity leave to confront a high-profile murder and a conspiracy which could have shocking ramifications throughout the judicial system.
To deliver Janet King, Screentime was provided with conform, grade, online QC, and deliverables. Colourist, Dwaine Hyde collaborated with Director of Photography, Joe Pickering to bring a unique vision across both seasons. Green screen techniques were employed for monitor and phone screen replacements, during online editorial.
“We're very proud to have been part of the team, that has seen the show achieve great ratings for the ABC and be nominated multiple times for AACTA and the Logies”
Stewart Dean / Post Producer, Cutting Edge
Right through production, the occurrence of sirens and flash photography can be harmful in patterns where there is strong shifts in luminance. Difficult to avoid in a police drama, these conditions are problematic triggers for individuals with photosensitive epilepsy (PSE). In editorial, each episode underwent rigorous testing for instances of potential PSE issues by employing a Harding Test during post. Our attention to detail provided a positive result, in the acceptance of both seasons for Australian and international release.
With a heightened awareness of photosensitive epilepsy, our post production team now has the skillset to minimise the PSE effect in programs to achieve international standards.
