Black Antenna – A TWISTED NSFW SCI-FI HORROR

June 28 2019

A ten-part sci-fi film set to the Alice in Chains’ Grammy Award winning album Rainier Fog, sounds pretty great to us. Titled ‘Black Antenna’ and directed by US film director Adam Mason, the film follows two aliens as they struggle to survive, elude capture and communicate with their mothership. It’s dark, sometimes bizarre, and for a film about aliens it’s a surprisingly human story – exploring very relevant concepts about immigration, homelessness and xenophobia. Cutting Edge joined the project from episode six, collaborating on design and VFX sequences. We caught up with Adam to talk about the film ahead of the release of the finale.

Pimped

April 1 2019

David Barker’s directorial debut explores what might happen if two predatory men were to lure a woman into a sexual trap, who proved to be stronger, smarter and more cunning than them. A modern transgressive thriller, Pimped is a film which follows Sarah Montrose, a woman who isn’t well-equipped to live within society’s accepted lines of behaviour, struggling with her own identity, desires, and loves. When all this is threatened by a monster, Sarah calls on all her strength and cunning to do battle with a psychopath, and her own inner demon. After contributing contributing to picture, sound and deliverables, we had the pleasure of attending the Sydney Premiere of ‘Pimped’. We are so proud of being associated with an indie feature that punches so far above its weight! Pimped is playing in selected cinemas nationally.
