Last night marked the 54th Australian Export Awards, a national program that recognises Australian businesses for their export achievements and contribution to Australia’s economic prosperity. One of the nation’s biggest and most creative post production studios, Cutting Edge, collected their second national award for their contribution to exports for Australian creative industries.

Cutting Edge exports to six countries including USA, UK, Germany, Japan and China. They are a world-class VFX, sound and picture post production studio, who have serviced the Australian and international advertising, film and television industries for nearly 25 years. Previously the company has been recognised for their success in overseas markets winning six Queensland Premier’s Export Awards and now a second Australian Export Award.

“We are very proud of our achievement and we think it’s wonderful that we have been acknowledged by the Australian Government for our success,” said Ray Smith, Owner/Director of Cutting Edge.

He went on to explain, “without our loyal and strong local market we would not have become the world-class company we are today. Our local clients have allowed us to grow with them, build our capabilities, and become a highly regarded post production facility with truly remarkable creative talent.”

“At Cutting Edge we continually challenge ourselves to remain at the forefront of the industry, investing in state-of-the-art equipment, and we continue to develop the nation’s best people. It’s what has made us a success in Australia and the same approach resonates internationally.”

The future of Cutting Edge’s export success looks bright as the company recently celebrated the opening of a new studio in Tokyo, demonstrating their commitment to expand their presence throughout Asia.
