You are woken at 2am with intense pain in one of your upper molars followed by the longest, loneliest 90 minutes, whilst you wait for painkillers to kick in. The artist concepted the idea lying in the dentist’s chair having an abscessed molar extracted. This experience was combined with his love of the twisted and macabre.
